I began my career in the furniture industry in 2017, when I founded an e-commerce furniture division at DEK. Taking on the role of division director without prior experience brought countless challenges. I’ll be honest: I made my share of mistakes. But each one taught me something. And over time, those lessons turned into real progress.
Later, I co-founded a sister company within the Designlink group, focused on direct containers trading from Asian factories to EU customers.It was a whole different game, with its own demands, and once again, I had to learn fast and adapt.
Through the years and many seasons with clients, I gained something more than experience. I gained perspective. I started to understand not just what customers wanted, but what frustrated them. That perspective shaped a simple idea: if I could help customers avoid those headaches—by ensuring on-time delivery, competitive pricing, and a long-term mindset — I could be more than a supplier. I could be a true partner.
With that vision, I decided to start something new. That’s how HOUSE 5 was born — a company built not just to deliver furniture, but to solve problems. And I’m committed to making that promise real — for our clients, partners, and team.

Freddy Zhao
Freddy is the man behind the scenes. He has spent more more than 20 years producing furniture and trading it worldwide, giving him a rare 360° perspective on the business. He’s seen it all. Faced the challenges. Learned the lessons. And built an attitude that never quits: “Always keep seeking opportunities. Never sleep in.” And when he saw one, and he grabbed it — HOUSE 5.
For years, he’d been thinking about launching a B2B warehouse. Then he heard George had the same idea. Eight years of working together meant trust was already there so it didn’t take long before the dice were rolled.
With Freddy’s ownership in the company, HOUSE 5 gains something powerful - direct access to manufacturer prices, and the ability to offer world-class deals, which the competition can’t touch.
While George focuses on customers here in Europe, Freddy makes sure nothing - absolutely nothing - stands in the way of production. Two sides of the same mission. And both sides with same winning mentality.
